The Atlas New Entrant programme is a free-of-charge programme where committed, professional and enthusiastic individuals with transferrable skills can begin a career offshore within the renewables sector.
The reason for starting the Atlas New Entrant Programme was due to the skills shortage, UK government figures also show that 70000 new workers will be required to work in the Renewables sector within the UK by 2030, hence the reason for acting upon it now.
Atlas Professionals will be carrying out Renewables New Entrant Induction days and at these days attendees will have a one-to-one interview, aptitude tests, receive advice on life offshore and given safety awareness training by Atlas Professionals Health & Safety Manger Mark McDonald who is also an experienced offshore safety officer. Register for one of our upcoming Renewable New Entrant Training Days and complete your Atlas account. Your application will then be reviewed.
You will undergo safety awareness training with our Health & Safety Manager Mark McDonald as well as the overview of Renewable New Entrant Programme recruitment process & co-ordination from the Greenhand Account Manager Liam Connell. You will also complete an aptitude test.

Once all relevant courses are passed, Atlas Professionals offices who recruit for the Renewables sector will be able to consider you for Renewable New Entrant opportunities. We have both rotational and ad hoc opportunities across a vast array of Clients available. However, please note that Atlas Professionals cannot guarantee that you will be offered a role on the completion of these courses as opportunities are very much Client and market driven.

To gain employment as Renewable New Entrant you will need to hold the following core certificates:

As mentioned, we can offer our successful New Entrants discounted rates on their required certificates following attendance of the New Entrant Training Day.
The system in place to receive the discount will be discussed at the New Entrant Day. Certification may be purchased through different options, one being 0% interest monthly payments. This will be an arrangement between the delegate and the training provider.
New Entrants who only reside in England can also apply for Greenskills training via the English Government (not available in Scotland and Wales at present) whereby all training costs are met by the funding that is available.
By registering for a Greenhand Training Day, you create a MyAtlas account. Verify your account and make sure your profile is up-to-date by uploading your CV and any certificates you may already have.
Should your profile match the criteria for a Greenhand position, you will be accepted to attend the Greenhand Training Day. Due to the large volume of applicants, this may take some time so please bear with us.
After attendance, selected candidates are given access to exclusive discounted training rates with our training providers.
Obtained certificates can then be uploaded to MyAtlas. Our recruiters can now start looking for your first placement with one of our many drilling clients.
